The timeless combination of chocolate & peppermint makes these Triple Chocolate Candy Cane Weed Cookies the perfect treat or gift for the holidays!

  cup cannabutter, room temperature
  cup regular butter, room temperature
 ½ cup brown sugar
 ½ cup white sugar
 1 egg, room temperature
 1 tsp vanilla extract
 1 ⅓ cups flour
  cup cocoa powder
 1 tsp baking soda
 ½ tsp sea salt
 1 cup mini chocolate chips
 300 g dark or milk baker's chocolate or melting wafers
 4 candy canes, crushed finely

In a bowl fitted for a stand mixer or using a hand mixer, cream the butters & sugars together until fluffy.

Add the egg & vanilla extract, beat together until fluffy.

In a separate bowl mix the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda & salt together, add to the sugar mixture & mix. Scrap down the sides to incorporate any butter & sugar stuck to the sides & bottom.

Mix in the mini chocolate chips. Using a 2 oz. portioning scoop or muffin scoop, drop cookie dough onto a greased cookie sheet or parchment lined pan.

Bake for about 15 minutes. Remove from the oven, allow to cool completely.

Melt the baker's chocolate over a double boiler or pot of boiling water. Stir until completely melted.

Dip 1/3 or 1/2 of the cookie into the chocolate & dip into the crushed candy cane. Allow the chocolate to set & enjoy or package to give as a gift or bring to your holiday party!
