Turkey burgers have become a staple in my kitchen. They can be made ahead of time or kept frozen for days later. I am sharing this easy & juicy turkey burger with CBD bacon jam recipe with you because I believe that a healthy & delicious meal can still be achieved even if you have a busy schedule. Keep it low carb with a lettuce wrap! There is also the option to infuse the burger with cannaoil if you so desire.

Easy & Juicy Turkey Burgers with CBD Bacon Jam

Turkey Burgers
 1 lb fresh ground turkey
 1 egg
 1 tbsp olive oil or cannaoil
 2 tbsp bread crumbs
 1 tsp seasoning salt
 1 tsp garlic powder
 ½ tsp black pepper, freshly cracked
CBD Bacon Jam
 1 lb bacon
 1 sweet onion
 2 tbsp butter
 ¼ cup brown sugar
 ¼ cup balsamic vinegar
 2 full droppers MURU Elixir

Slice the onion. Melt the butter in a saucepan. Add the onion & cook on low about 1 hour or until onions are golden brown & creamy.

Lay out strips of bacon onto a baking sheet & bake at 400°F/205°C for about 15 minutes or until bacon is crispy.

Once onions are caramelized, add the brown sugar, balsamic vinegar & MURU CDB Elixir.

Place the onion mixture into a food processor with the bacon & pulse until desired consistency.

Place the ground turkey into a bowl & add the egg, bread crumbs & spices. Use a mixer, rubber spatula or your hands to mix everything together.

Either weigh or estimate the size of each patty to fit your needs. Roll the meat mixture into a ball between your hands & flatten into the shape of a burger.
** I like to flatten mine quite a bit as they will shrink once cooked & I try to avoid the baseball burgers = ) **

Place the formed patties on to a plate & allow them to rest in the fridge for at least 15 minutes or up to 2 hours.

Cook on the barbecue, a 2-sided electric grill or in a non-stick skillet.

Serve on your favourite bun or lettuce wrap & top with your favourite toppings & of course your CBD bacon jam!
